Description

naturalistically carved as a furled lotus leaf, the underside with ribbon-tied leafy vines, small shoots and a lotus flower curling up the side of the body, the stone of white tone with a few russet inclusions

Condition

It is likely that part of the rim has been damaged and reworked (where it would have flared out), there are two dark russet flaws to the stone to one side and one similar flaw where the ribbon is tied. There are two chips to the ribbon, some small nicks along the shoots, a 5 mm chip associated with loss to one petal as well as a minor nick to another petal.
