finely carved in the round as an elephant standing four-square with its head looking down, its trunk curled alongside its foreleg, supporting a foreigner on its back seated cross-legged upon a fine cloth, dressed in a flowing robe, his right hand touching his head framing an expressive face with a broad smile, the white stone with russet inclusions

Condition

There is a flaw running to the left side of the head with russet colouration, there is also a flaw running diagonally through the saddle to the left side and one through the tail and the back right foot with russet colouration. There is also a flaw to the head of the seated figure and pale beige inclusions to the stone to the reverse.
