Description

well potted with rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to a flaring rim, painted on the exterior in iron-red with a ferocious dragon and a flying phoenix, each chasing a 'flaming pearl' amongst scrolling clouds, the teeth and claws of the dragon picked out in white enamel, all between two ruyi-head bands, the cover similarly decorated, both the interior of the finial and the base inscribed with six-character reign marks in underglaze blue

Condition

The overall condition is quite good except for a 0.6 cm chip to the rim of the cover and occasional stained burst air bubbles.
