Description

of octagonal lobed form supported on four cabriole feet, the curved shallow sides painted with gilt-decorated wan characters above stylised lotus borne on leafy sprigs, all reserved on a lavender ground extending to the underside, the flat mouthrim decorated with further lotus and florets reserved on a pink ground, all between gilt-decorated borders, the interior covered with a turquoise glaze

Condition

One of the feet has been repainted. There are surface scratches and some of the enamels are slightly rubbed off. Apart from that, the overall condition is good. Most of the enamels and gilt-decoration are well preserved.
