Description

  • Iron with gold gilt
  • Height: 3 3/4 inches
Iron with gold and silver decoration; of cylindrical form with cover, the plain body entirely encased in openwork designs with silver and gold embellishment, the body with four bestial skulls, engulfed in flames each issuing further flames from its mouth, the cover with a register of skulls around the outer edge, the upper surface with a visvavajra, a vajra finial emerging from the centre, traces of red on the interior
