A PAGE OF FLORAL ILLUMINATION IN GOLD, INDIA, MUGHAL, 17TH CENTURY

This elegant page of gold floral illumination may have been intended as an end-page in an album. Two related examples, although larger and more detailed, are to be found on the versos of two folios in the Minto Album, one in the Victoria and Album Museum, London (see Stronge 2002, p.151), the other in the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin (see Wright 2008, p.365).
