- Ink & Gold on Paper
Arabic manuscript on paper, 14 lines to the page plus 2 flyleaves, written in large Thuluth script in red ink diacritics and vocalisation in black ink, interlinear text in black Naskh script, title page with an illuminated panel composed of text against a hatched ground filled with fine scrolling split-palmettes, plain gold border outlined in blue leading to a marginal roundel enclosing vegetal motifs, later brown leather binding with stamped floral medallions
Condition
In fair overall condition, paper repairs to opening and closing leaves, some smudges, staining and overall wear, calligraphy bold, as viewed.
