Arabic manuscript on paper, 315 leaves plus a flyleaf, 8 pages left blank at the end, 15 lines to the page written in neat Naskh script in black ink, verses separated by segmented gold florets pointed in red and blue, surah headings in white against gold-ground floral panels, margins ruled in gold, black and red, opening illuminated double-page frontispiece decorated with a dense ground of gold foliage with punched cintimani motifs, borders of red and blue, red morocco binding with trellis-design doublures, outer boards tooled with cartouches and cornerpieces filled with a rigorous design of scrolling interlace, with gilt ropework borders, with flap

Condition

In good overall condition, ink bold and gold bright, small loss (wormhole) to bottom edge of folio 1, one quire loose within manuscript, a few minor stains, flap with loss to bottom edge, otherwise good, as viewed.
