Arabic manuscript on paper, 302 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in Naskh script in black ink, verses separated by segmented gold florets pointed in red and blue, illuminated marginal devices emanating floral sprays, surah headings left blank in gold rectangular panels, opening double-page illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, with bands of polychrome flowers and text in cloud bands, verses separated by more elaborate florets, endpiece decorated with flowers, red morocco binding with tooled medallions and cornerpieces filled with interlacing vines and split-palmettes, gilt ropework borders, with flap

Condition

In good overall condition, spine with some wear, occasional marginal stains, otherwise ink bold and illumination bright, as viewed.
