comprised of four joined vertical panels, worked with central field with overall trellis, with a deep border with scrolling flowering trail with large palmette leaf motifs, on natural linen ground
Condition
Comprised of four joined panels: From left to right (with two flanking green palmettes enclosing single flower heads, not bissected by the stem, in top left corner); 27.5cm, 28cm., 28cm. and 27.5cm. There are some losses to threads, for example see the fine copper coloured lines between the inner narrow borders (as visible in the photograph). Joins of panels are barely visible, as the embroidered motifs do not cover the joins. The panel is lined with a blockprinted blue motif on cream textile panel. Decorative and vibrant panel. Very unusual leaf border
