- Approximately 324cm. by 228cm; 10ft. 7in., 7ft. 5in.
incorporating twenty-four cartouches enclosing calligraphic inscriptions in cream on a red ground in the border and main field,
Couplets from two different ghazals of Hafiz, with `mobarak bad' (May it be blessed), on the top-corner cartouches (one in negative); and the small cartouches with Turkish, `bu da geçer ya huwwa' (This also passes. O He!)

Condition
Pile overall good condition, 2mm generally, with some minor areas of localised wear down to knot-bars. There is a 3cm long tear in the bottom right corner, with some losses around this area. Original side cords with some losses and wear on extreme edges. Salmon coloured silk bias binding applied and covering the flat weave at both ends, and at the top end additionally partially covering the pile, which has some losses to edge.
