- Height 166 1/2 in; width 115 2/3 in
the main field incorporating two cartouches enclosing inscriptions with black calligraphy on yellow ground;
The inscriptions in the two cartouches are two couplets from the Gulistan of Sa'di (one in negative)

Condition
Very good pile overall, approximately 2mm. Lovely flexible handle. Cotton herringbone tape stitched to sides with magenta re-overcast side cords. Very minor loss to the lower right hand corner. Terracotta end surrounds slightly reduced, now with approximately 1.5cm remaining trimmed warp fringe. Losses to warp fringe and small number of knots missing lower right corner surround. Two small splits in outer red madder surround top right corner. Minor amounts of surface spotting in upper field, within the red.
Overall in outstanding condition. A beautiful piece.
