- Ivory and steel
the slightly curved double-edged blade decorated with a central line of gold geometric pattern, with faceted ivory hilt of waisted form, carved with scrolling floral tendrils in a symmetrical design, the scabbard carved with openwork arabesque medallions of floral scrolls, with Caucasian nielloed silver lock and chape
Condition
In overall fairly good condition, with slight cracking on the ivory hilt consistent with age, the top-corner of the handle chipped and subsequently restored, slight abrasion along the central ridge of the blade, the scabbard with slight discoloration due to ware, as viewed.
