Consisting of two, lacquered book covers, each depicting a small bird and butterfly within a lush floral background comprising irises, roses, chrysanthemums and cherry-tree blossoms, bordered by a gold band with curved cartouches of floral bouquets, the interior featuring a central lobed cartouche with various flowers, against a red background with delicate leafy scrolls and pines
Condition
In overall very good condition, one board with minor loss to top edge, other board with minor restoration to top corner, as viewed.
