- Lacquered illusrated albumn, ink, gouache and gold
Gouache heightened with gold, depicting a figure striking an elephant on the head with a mace, with various attendants standing by, 8 lines to the page written in Nasta'liq script in black ink in four columns, set in stout borders, decorated with scrolling flowers, ruled in colours and gold, the reverse with thirteen lines of text in four columns
Condition
In good overall condition, the page has been cut down from a larger manuscript page and applied with a layer of lacquer, giving it a sheen, a few mild creases, otherwise good, colours bright, as viewed.
