  • Opaque watercolour heightened with gold on paper
Persian manuscript on paper, 13-14 lines to the page, written in Nasta'liq script in black ink on gold sprinkled paper, in 4 columns, separated by intercolumnar margins filled with scrolling flowers and geometric motifs, ruled in colours and gold, the paintings depicting a battle scene, the hunt, and a meeting within a landscape, 2 leaves with illuminated headings in white against a gold ground sprinkled with polychrome flowers, remargined, framed 

Condition

In good oveall condition, some small stains and paper repairs, gold bright, as viewed.
