  • Ink & Gold on Paper
Ottoman Turkish manuscript on paper, 25 leaves, comprising 50 panels of calligraphy, each panel with 2 lines of Naskh script surmounted by a line of larger Thuluth script in black ink, side panels filled with vegetal designs in gold, verses separated by gold roundels pointed in blue and red, ruled in gold, with red inner borders, laid down on pages of a later album with ebru outer margins, binding with ebru doublures and striped silk boards

Condition

In good overall condition, a few minor stains and smudges, otherwise calligraphy bold, as viewed.
