of pale green tones, the walls carved with six lobes, decorated in relief with flowering lily plants and scrolling leaves above a palmette arcade, the well with a central lotus flower with enveloping petals, the base with concentric bands of lotus petals

Condition

Some hairline cracks visible inside the main body of the bowl and some minor wear to the outer rim, the interior flower relief and base flower design. Some discoloration. In overall good condition and intact as viewed.

The Chinese interest in Mughal-style carving, which flourished under the Qialong emperor (reigned 1736-96), gave rise to some exquisite interpretations of the Indian aesthetic.
