Description

the steep-sided circular form tapering to narrow foot, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and turquoise with overglaze enamel red, black and gilt, the design of chequered cypress tree flanked by two seated figures, each figure with a halo, amidst foliate tendrils, the interior and exterior rim each with a broad band of kufic interrupted by palmettes and birds in roundels
