Description

text: surah al-hajj (XXII), part of verse 37 to part of verse 40
Arabic manuscript on vellum, 5 lines to the page written in fine gold Kufic script, letter pointing (i'jam) of thin brown dashes, vocalisation of red, green and blue dots, single verses separated by illuminated gold rosettes, fifth verse marked by an illuminated red and blue rosette containing the word 'khamsa' 

Condition

In fair overall condition, losses to left and right hand edges, with associated repair, some stains, gold bright on both sides, as viewed.
