Description

debout sur un socle lotiforme émergeant d'une base octogonale et auréolé d'une mandorle, vêtu d'une longue robe formant d'harmonieux plis, la main droite levée en abhayamudra pour la protection, l'autre en varadamudra pour le don, les cheveux relevés en chignon surmonté de l'ushnisha, le front agrémenté de l'urna ; accidents et manques aux mains et au socle lotiforme

Condition

The figure - is missing the tips of three fingers to the right hand and the tip of the index finger to the left. Both hands have been re-glued and the lower sections of the robes to the reverse are missing and re-gilded. There is blackening to the lacquer to the hands, the reverse of the right shoulderand other areas to the drapery. There is a (approx 2cm) crack to the robes to the lower front left side. The stand - there are about five petals missing from the lotus base and some have been re-glued. There is also a repair to the mandorla at the lower sides and it has been re-attached at the base. There is also a (approx 6cm) crack to the top right side of the mandorla and and an associated small chip.
