Some wear and tears to the interstices, more particularly (from right to left): between the first and second panels, between the third and fourth panels, and between the fifth and sixth panels, to the middle of the defending army on the second and third panel. A few old restorations to the gofun gold paper ground and and restored gold sprays in areas (in the middle of the defending army to the upper right, below the boat at the bottom, below the pine tree on the third panel, above the pavilions on top of the fifth panel, and to the upper left interstice. Some surface scratches to the bottom left group of samurai, to the Taira family boats on the second and third panels. A few light water stains on the third panel. The joint between some panels is a little loose, more particularly between the third and fourth panel. A tear to the reverse at the bottom of the first panel to the right.
