- bronze doré & émaux cloisonnés
le corps cylindrique reposant sur trois hauts pieds en forme de têtes d'éléphant richement parées, flanqué d'anses en têtes d'éléphant à la trompe relevée, à décor de fleurs de lotus et caractères shou dans des rinceaux fleuris, surmontés de frises archaïsantes d'ailes de cigales et chilong, le col souligné d'une frise de grecques
Condition
In good general condition, with several areas of loss to the enamels. One area to the upper section of one lappet to the immediate left of the right-hand elephant handle, infilled and visible as a brownish-green colour in the catalogue image. Further losses to the enames directly below the rim, some infilled. Two areas of impact and associated loss of enamels to the lower body, measuring approximately 8mm and 13mm wide. Pitting to enamels and minor wear to gilt bronze mounts.
