Description
Condition
The sculpture itself is overall in fair condition with expected wear consistent with age and showing on the photo. The gilding is worn with only a few traces remaining. There is an old repair to the cast on the chest (visible on the catalogue illustration). Part of the lower back of the figure and the lotus base on the reverse are discoloured/depatinated with the original copper alloy colour showing, probably the result of an old cleaning intervention. There are a few minor dents and a 1 cm chip to the base rim. The actual patina is somewhat darker than the illustration would suggest in the catalogue.
