The tip of the blade of the spear resting on his right shoulder is chipped and missing. A few other chips (on the extremity of the robe in front, around the feet), pitted areas and minor original faults in the cast. There is a dent to the finial of the helmet. A few original holes and pitting in the cast at the bottom of the robe in the back, expected wear to the gilding on the face and the hands (visible on the catalogue illustration).
