Condition

The first dish is in good condition with the exception of two minor flakes/fritting beneath the rim (2 and 3mm). Expected small iron spots, light scratches inside, pin prick air bubbles and minor firing imperfections below the base. The second dish is also in good condition with the exception of some natural fritting on a 2 and 5cm section by the rim. An unburst air bubble and light scratches to the surface glaze inside.

Catalogue Note

This scene is one of the earliest examples of the use of an identified European print, this one 'The Music Party' was drawn by Robert Bonnart and engraved by his brother Nicholas Bonnart (1646-1718).
