Condition
The panel was distressed with the lower part of the frame and several sections of hardstone inlays missing but has now been restored.
The restoration includes the replacement in a different wood of the lower beam of the frame and two of the Greek friezes along the inner edges. The replacement/reconstitution of several hardstone sections (two figures at the bottom, some parts of the pavilion at the center and the green roof pavilion in the distance). Reconstitution of a few parts of the trees, including the middle section of two tree trunks in horn to the left. A few horizontal cracks and chips in the orange background as visible on the illustration in the catalogue.
Please note that the frame is in zitan and not huanghuali as indicated in the catalogue.
