Condition

The painting is on silk mounted on paper. It is a little toned as expected. There are a few horizontal creases toward the center of the image, as well as a few holes and small stains. A few other creases toward the lower part. A thin vertical band of humidity stain runs along the right edge from the top edge down on about 2/3 of the painting (visible on the photo in the catalogue. The paper scroll mounts are distressed with some tears each side along the edges, the longest a 25 cm cursive tear in the scroll mounts to the upper right above the painting.
