l'un en bronze doré assis un genou ramené devant lui, portant une longue robe brodée, le visage tourné vers la gauche, l'autre en bronze doré et laqué assis ses deux mains ramenées sur sa poitrine couverte des manches de sa longue robe noire brodée d'or, la tête tournée vers la droite ; les bases scellées, petits chocs et usures
Condition
The black lacquer on the robe of the figure to the right is worn in areas (as visible on the catalogue illustration) as well as some wear to the top of the head with possibly some later repaintings to the neck of the figure ; the figure to the left also has some oxidation ; the gilding in areas as visible in the photo ; the first figure is inscribed with a three-character inscription, possibly reading Lu Shisan (Lu Thirteen) and the second figure inscribed with a two_character mark reading Lu Shi (Lu Ten), this may indicate these belonging to a person with the surname Lu, the numbers indicating their respective positions in the Sanctuary in which thery were originally placed.
