The painting is on silk and may have been mounted originally as a scroll, now framed and glazed. Likely to have been partly trimmed (not inspected outside the frame). It is a little toned as expected, some wear to the surface to the lower part, a vertical hairline scratch 14cm to the upper left side trhough the trees (visible on the photo). The details of the swirling clouds and tumultuous water are finely painted. The actual colors are slightly more toned, less saturated, than the illustration would suggest in the catalogue.
