ouvrant à deux battants incrustés de nacre, stéatite, pierres dures, bois et émaux de Canton formant un décor de vases fleuris, chimères sur leurs socles, jardinière, verseuse en forme de canard ou rouleau sur fond de laque noire incrustée de poussière de nacre, le plateau supérieur aux extrémités recourbées, l'intérieur agrémenté de deux tiroirs ; restaurations
Condition
The cabinet doors have some minor replacements to the inlay and many have been re-glued. The Canton enamel vase on one of the right door has been repainted. The top left corner on the left door has been restored and held with a nail. The top of the cabinet is later added (with a veneer top and roof-shaped terminal scrolls. The sides of the cabinet are missing the corner leg braces and aprons, the front is also missing the braces beneath the apron. The front apron has about 3 cm missing on each side at the corners. The interior is missing it’s original shelves and shelf supports. The shelf supports have been amended to an adjustable support. There is one shelf. The lacquer on the inside of the doors has some flaking and losses. But the overall condition of the cabinet is still quite good.
