La rare stylisation géométrique des motifs auxiliaires - crocodiles, serpents - dont les corps étirés délimitent la surface lisse sur laquelle étaient jetées les noix de palme, accentue la rigueur de la forme et impose avec force le visage dominant d'Esu, observateur et gardien des pratiques rituelles. Profonde patine nuancée, brun rouge, grumeleuse dans les creux.
