cf. Roy & Wheelock (2007, n° 448) pour une flûte très proche dans la collection Thomas B. Wheelock, évoquant un corps humain stylisé et orné du même décor linéaire profondément gravé. "Utilisées par les Bwa et les Bobo lors des performances masquées, elles étaient conservées d'une génération à l'autre, parfois sur des autels dédiés aux esprits, en signe de communication avec les anciens qui les avaient possédées" (idem).
