Condition

Very good condition overall; wear consistent with age and use within the culture. As visible in the catalogue illustration : a small part of the head-crest missing, a thin crack to the base and a few other minor hairline cracks. Exceptionally fine nuanced patina ranging from dark reddish-brown to more honeyed tones.

La force de l'expression - bouche ouverte sur des dents taillées en pointes, yeux sertis d'éclats de porcelaine - est accentuée par le très beau volume de la coiffe aux contours anguleux et par l'iconographie - fusil brandi dans la main droite, couteau dans l'autre. Remarquable finesse des modelés, mise en valeur par les nuances de la patine brillante.
