Catalogue Note

Bwa/Nuna stool, Burkina Faso

Seats with four legs were designed for women to sit on whilst working. The offered example is distinguished by the outstretched animal heads at either end. The beauty of this wonderfully pure form is enhanced by the nuanced shades of the deep patina, which is a glossy caramel colour on the seat and an encrusted brown on the legs.
