Very good condition overall; wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Small crack to the top mouth-piece, visible in the catalogue illustration. Fine encrusted patina, nuanced red to dark brown.

Les lignes épurées évoquent dans leur rigueur un corps humain résumé à ses formes essentielles. Superbe ampleur de l'embouchure et du mouvement des bras coudés, percés de trous de jeu. Patine brune, grumeleuse, brillante sur les parties saillantes.
Bwa/Nuna flute, Burkina Faso
The pure lines of this flute suggest a human figure reduced to its essential forms. The superb, large-scale mouth and bent arms are pierced with air-holes to allow the instrument to be played. Fine encrusted brown patina, glossy in places.
