Condition

Attractive black patina. Apart from some slight wear to the patina, mostly to the upper part of the sculpture, and a light build-up of dust in the recessive areas, this work is in very good condition.

Catalogue Note

inscribed 'AM' and numbered '3/8', bears the marks of the foundry 'Brustolin, Verona' and the editor 'Galerie Due Ci, Rome', bronze. Conceived in 1943 and cast in bronze in 1986-87 by Brustolin foundry, Verona, in a numbered edition of eight, plus a further cast numbered '0/8' for André Masson and two artist's proofs.
