Ce lit fait partie d'un ensemble de meubles commandé à Marc du Plantier par le père du propriétaire actuel, à l'issu de la guerre d'Espagne, pour remeubler une maison vandalisée pendant la guerre. Ce modèle de lit a été initialement créée par Marc du Plantier pour son épouse Anne.

Condition
Originalement doré, a été repeint à une époque ultérieure. le métal présente de nombreuses traces de rouille, d'oxydation et manques de peinture. La tête de lit en tissu usé, les galons décousus et une déchirure en haut au milieu et une autre plus importante en haut à gauche.
Originally gilded, the metal structure have been repainted later on. The metal has many traces of rust, oxidizing and lacks to the paint. The upholstery part is worn, the galons are unsewed and there are two tears at the center and the upper left side.
