Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Some thin superficial cracks are only visible under very close inspection. A few tiny losses of paint are only visible under very close inspection : - one located 3 cm from the upper edge and 6,5 cm from the left edge - one located 9,5 cm from the upper edege and 50,5 cm from the left edge - one located 26 cm from the upper edge and 68 cm from the left edge - one located 8 cm from the upper edge and 71 cm from the right edge. Under UV light, 3 minor dots fluoresce, due to an old and careful restauration : - one approx. 1,5 x 1,5 cm, located 70 cm from the upper edge and 75,5 cm from the left edge - one approx. 2,5 x 1,5 cm located 45,5 cm from the - one approx. 1,5 x 0,5 cm located 59 cm from the lower edge and 62 cm from the right edge
