Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although it doesn't convey the scale and the effect of the surface. This work is in overall good condition. Standing behind and next to the title of the newspaper Le Monde, there is a thin crack (approx. 5cm) along the lower edge. There is a material loss (approx. 4x3cm) which has been restored along the lower edge. Standing on the left hand side of Le Monde, there are some slight scuffs to the edge associated with minor paint losses. There are some slight blue paint stains There are two material losses (approx. 3x3cm and 4x1cm) along the lower edge. There are two thin crack lignes (approx.17cm and 23cm) along the lower edge. Standing on the right hand side of Le Monde, there is a black ligne (approx. 11cm) visible under close inspection.

Catalogue Note

signed; acrylic on polyester. Executed in 2001 in an edition of 4 examples.
