Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration. This work is in very good condition. It is on its original canvas and is not lined. The surface is intact. A light paint abrasion along the edge due to previous mountiong and some minor paint losses associated are visible under close inspection. A scuff mark (approx. 13 cm; located 37 cm from the right edge and 16 cm from the upper edge) is visible under very close inspection, which borders fluoresce under UV light. A slight scuff and a tiny paint loss associated (approx. 2 mm; located 84cm from the right edge and 6cm from the upper edge) are visible upon close inspection. A thin craquelure and a tiny paint loss associated (approx. 3 mm; located 45cm from the right edge and 9cm from the upper edge). A thin crack along the right edge (approx. 2cm) is visible under very close inspection. A pinhead size paint loss (approx 1 mm; located 70cm from the upper edge and 30cm from the lower edge). Four greasy or oily dots (approx.4mm), one along the right edge, one along the lower edge, two along the upper edge are visible upon close inspection. Under UV light, a tiny dot previously and carefully restored (approx. 4mm; located 9cm from the right edge and 38cm from the upper edge) is visible upon close inspection.
