Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is brighter in the original.
This work is in good condition.
It is executed on a wood panel.
On lateral sides of the wood panel:
- Thin lines and dots of minor paint losses,
- Superficial cracks (2 measuring approx. 2,5cm on the upper and lower edges and one approx. 16,5cm on the left edge)
- tiny splinters on the corners of the work.
Probably due to previous mounting, neither of them are on the visible side of the work.
A tiny scuff (approx. 2mm) located in the lower right quadrant of the work and a minor black stain (approx. 8mm) located along the upper edge are only visible under very close inspection.
Some scattered light water dots are only visible under close inspection.
There are some slight time stainings throughout.
Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching.
