Condition

The actual painting is greener and more fresh in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has an old, stable relining. No major damages are apparent. There are a few very tiny paint losses to the upper left and two tiny ones to the lower centre left. Some repaired and retouched losses are visible in the upper background and some additional small scattered retouchings are visible to the naked eye. The paint surface is under a dirty varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals some larger somewhat crude areas of retouching in the draperies and a few small ones in the faces. This lot is offered unframed.
