Condition

The actual painting is less red in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas is unlined. There is a surface scratch with some minor paint losses lower right, a small surface scratch in the upper right corner and some tiny paint losses in the upper left corner. Otherwise, there are no damages. There is some paint separation throughout. The paint surface is under a slightly dirty varnish and there's some surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no significant retouchings. Overall, the painting is in good condition. This lot is offered unframed. Offered together with: An allegory, French School. The canvas is unlined and a bit wobbly. No major damages are apparent. There is some paint separation, mainly in the darker colours. The paint surface is under a slightly dirty varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals no significant retouchings. Offered in a light wood frame with a gilt fillet and some paint losses.
