Description

  • 30 cm. high
the architectural case topped by a cupola with a statuette of a male saint, overall engraved with foliage, the front with 24-hour dial with silvered chapter ring, the back with silvered subsidairies for the striking hours and for the missing alarm, flanked by winding holes, with engraved monogram LZ or IZ, glased sides, the iron and gilt brass posted fusee and later steel wire movement with later verge escapement and silk suspended back pendulum, outer countwheel striking on a bell mounted in the cupola, alterations; inv. no. PLV 24(2)

Condition

Rather good condition, stained, gilding with wear and/or oxidation, a few unidentified holes, engraving possibly later, later hands on hour dial, alarm mechanism and hand lacking, usual ageing, together with a pendulum.
