Description

  • A 17th Century Winter Scene with Skaters on the Ice
  • watercolour heightened with white on paper, unframed
  • 40.3 x 56.9 cm. (2)

Condition

Winter Scene: Browned paper. Remains of old tape along the edges on the reverse, only visible on the reverse. The paper is slightly buckled. Minor foxing. Additional work: Glued to the mount upper and left edge. Very minor foxing in the sky. A small round tear approx. 2 cm. and a tear of approx. 4 mm. running from the centre left edge. Two brown spots along the upper left edge.
