Condition

Overall in reasonable condition and dusty. With the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. Each panel with two or three shinkage cracks to the back. The woodwork and the marquetry veneer overall with cracks and minor losses, especially at the back and minor old restorations.Part of the ebonished crest mouliding (of the second panelto the right) loose. The marquetry with minor old restorations. The Kangshi plates apparanty all in good condition but uninspected out of their present framing. Very recommendable piece.

In 1886 the Grand Bazar supplied an oud Amsterdamsch ingelegd vierslag scherm met blaauw japansch porcelain (Dutch Royal Archives)
