Description

  • 100 cm. high
the architectonical back with kneeling angel holding a tablet with names of Gutenberg, Loiola, Voltaire and Alsière, flanking figures of (probably) Urania and Chronos, silk suspension movement, the loose base decorated with herauting angels, masks and putti; inv. nos. KP 2729 and KP 4929

Condition

Fair condition, stained (especially the base), gilding with minor rubbing and/or oxidation, lacking attribute of Urania, back feet and door and pendulum, marble with scratches and chipped; good and impressive piece in need of restoration.
