Description

  • 102 cm. high
the waisted case with loose top, tortoiseshell simulating horn veneer, glased sides and hinged pendulum door below the enamel dial, four (?) pillar movement with verge escapement, silk suspension with cycloid cheeks, and rack quarter striking on two bells mounted beneath the top, with matching bracket; inv. nos. PLV 352 and AWE 585 (5)

Condition

Rather good original condition, stained, gilding with some rubbing and/or oxidation, horn veneer with minor losses and cracks, glass pendulum door missing, usual ageing, with 2 winders.
