Description

Boerenbont pattern Brabant, comprising: two teapots and covers, the largest 13 cm. high; four sugar pots and covers in sizes; five butter dishes and covers; a bowl; ten egg cups; three large tea cups and saucers; six tea cups; sixteen coffeecups; ten saucers; ten plates; seventeen plates; circular lion mark in black, some with Brabant in green; some damages and discolourations (98)

Condition

Overall in good creamware condition with some usual craquelé and minor glaze fritting to rims. The smaller teapot with brown residue to the inside and spout. The cover of one large sugar pot with a chip to the underside of the rim and some stained cracks to the border. The smaller sugar pot with a small hairline crack (ca. 1 cm.) and some staining to the upper rim, the cover with a chip to the underside of the rim. Two butter dish with slight staining to the upper rim of the inner basin, another with a rim chip (ca. 1 cm. wide), one cover with a crack to the border (ca. 3.5 cm. ) and one cover with a small and large (ca. 1.3 x 1.7 cm.) chip to the border. One egg cup with a small chip to the upper rim, another with a crack to the cup (ca. 2.5 cm.). Of the large plates five with discoloured staining, of which two with rim chips. Some fritting to the glaze of the small plates, three with rim chips, six with discoloured staining to the glaze of which one with a crack and two with rim chips. One smaller tea cup with rim chips. Two coffee cups with cracks to the border, two with rim chips, circa eight cups with discoloured staining. Two saucers with rim chips, one with a loss to the border.
